The 2008 OSHA Oil & Gas Safety Conference will be held in Houston on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 2 & 3 at the Intercontinental Hotel. This is the first time OSHA has hosted a safety conference focused on the Exploration & Production industry.
The 2008 conference theme, “People, Equipment, and Compliance”, stresses the interrelationships and importance of seamless interaction to achieve safety excellence.

The conference will strive to bring a closer understanding of how industry and OSHA can work together to improve safety performance through OSHA and industry cooperation, knowledge sharing of best practices and building relationships.
We are pleased to announce that E. Scott Geller, internationally renowned safety professional and author, John Drebinger, the "Master of Safety Communication", Charlie Morecraft , “the world's most renowned Motivational Safety Speaker”, and former Houston Oiler and New Orleans Saints head coach, Bum Phillips, are confirmed guest speakers. In addition to keynote addresses, there will be approximately 36 breakout presentations.
Presentations will support the conference focus areas mentioned above, and may contain success stories, best practices, lessons learned or new ideas.
The exhibit hall will feature government and industry organizations as well as safety and oilfield vendors.
